Fish To Target
Redfish
Redfish are one of South Carolina's premier gamefish. They are commonly caught year round and inhabit many of the marshes and bays in Charleston. The best time to target Redfish is in the summer and fall.
Spotted Sea Trout
Spotted Sea Trout is one of Captain Thomas's favorite fish to target, especially in the colder months. Spotted Sea Trout are plentiful year round in the Charleston area. As the waters begin to cool in the fall these fish begin to form large schools and large numbers of them can be caught.
Other Species
There are also many other species in the Charleston area. These include Flounder, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Sharks, and even Tarpon. Each different species involves its own challenge and thrills and some are quite tasty as well.
